Sanibel Island Golf Course Homes

The island of Sanibel has three golf courses with nearby residential communities. Two on the east end and one on the west. Each gives the opportunity to live right on the course allowing you to walk out of your door with clubs in hand and get to your favorite sport anytime. 

Beachview CC Estates at Sanibel Island Golf Club

The beautiful Beachview Country Club Estates is located south of Perrywinkle Way on the east end of Sanibel Island completely surrounded by water and the Sanibel Island Golf Club. The community is home to 224 single-family homes and offers residents a public 18-hole golf course right outside their door, tennis courts, a golf pro shop, a tennis pro shop, and an on-site restaurant. Homeowners in the community also enjoy deeded beach access, beautiful views of the fairways, greens, or lakes, access to the local clubhouse, and the Beachview Tennis Club. All residences at Beachview Country Club Estates are privately owned and membership in the country club is optional.

Construction in the neighborhood began in 1978 and homes have continued to be built through recent years. You'll find larger properties of up to four or five bedrooms, 3 to 6 bathrooms, and in sizes from 2500 ft.² to over 5000 ft.². Most homes are traditional Florida style and prices range from about $1 million to $2.5 million based on condition, location, amenities, and size.

Dunes Sanibel

The Dunes is the largest residential community on Sanibel Island. This is a great community to live in if you are hoping to enjoy a game of golf and get to know people in the community. It features 333 acres developed in 1981. It also features over 5600 yards of manicured greens, a fantastic golf course, and a tennis club. The community borders a nature preserve and because of this, it is not uncommon to see native wildlife and birds including bald eagles, Osprey, and blue herons. The Dunes golf course is a par 70 surrounded by scenic lakes and lush fairways. If you enjoy tennis there are 14 Har-Tru tennis courts and a full-service pro shop. The Dunes Club clubhouse has a steak and seafood restaurant, beautiful views of the golf course, a heated swimming pool, and deeded beach access.

There are a total of 377 homes in the community including duplex units and single-family estate homes. Most homes are nestled around the golf course. Properties start at about $1 million. Each home is unique and custom-built with two and three-story designs, custom cabinetry throughout the home, beautiful quartz or granite counters, and lots of unique finishes and luxury materials.  

Sea Pines 

Some might not consider this a golf community because it is not officially on the golf course and homeownership does not come with automatic possible membership possibilities. But the community does neighbor the Beachview Estates CC neighborhood and is close to the Sanibel Island Golf Club. It is also closer to the ocean beaches just across the street. It is located between the beach and Beachview Estates on Middle Gulf Drive. 

The Sanctuary At Wulfurt

This is the only west-end golf community on Sanibel Island.  This highly sought-after community of homes is located within a private Golf and Tennis Club master-planned community. The Sanctuary at Wulfert is on the northwest end of Sanibel Island you can see the private golf course community on the right side of the main road. The community is made up of 145 home sites tucked into an 18-hole golf course and has a focus on marrying a luxury housing community with the preservation of the natural land of Sanibel Island. The community is surrounded by the Ding Darling Natural Preserve offering even more quiet beauty.

The golf course is member-owned and designed by the well-known Arthur Hills. Additional amenities within the community include 5 hydro-grid soft clay tennis courts, a fully-equipped fitness center, a 50,000-square-foot clubhouse, formal and casual dining venues, and more. Homeowners are not required to become golf club members.
