Osprey Fest!!!

OSPREYFEST! The event will feature CROW's popular "Story of Ospreys", presented by "Bird" Westall, founder of The International Osprey Foundation (TIOF), Claudia Burns, longtime CROW / TIOF volunteer, and Dave Horton, illustrator of "Look Who's Flying", an educational coloring book about ospreys, and creator of the wildly-funny "Hortoons" seen in many locations on the Islands.

OSPREYFEST! will be sponsored by the Sanibel Captiva Trust Company, with Bailey's General Store as wine sponsor, and celebrated at Traditions on the Beach in Sanibel's historic Island Inn on West Gulf Drive, at 4:30pm on January 15 2012. A silent auction of osprey related items will be offered prior to a fabulous three-course sit-down dinner, created and served by Andrea Mucciga's awarding-winning staff.

"Hortoon" will entertain OSPREYFEST! attendees before the meal by creating an impromptu drawing of an osprey. Following dinner, Claudia Burns will present "The Story of Ospreys", punctuated with incredibly lifelike osprey calls performed by "Bird".

After the presentation, "Hortoon's" on-the-spot drawing and a stunning depiction of an osprey created for CROW by Darryl Pottorf will be offered to the highest bidders. All proceeds of the event will go toward the care and feeding of wildlife patients at CROW.

Additional sponsorship opportunities are available for $100 (Nestling), $250 (Fledgling), and $500 (Fish Hawk).
