Living in Sanibel Arms Condos on Sanibel Island

Sanibel Arms is a low-rise residential condo community located on the east end of Sanibel Island. It is just off of East Gulf Drive on the southern Gulf of Mexico shore very close to the lighthouse offering both canal front and gulf front condo units. This condo community is desirable for its location, views, smaller size/quiet atmosphere, ability to bring pets, and allowable rental timeframe.

Shopping and Dining

The condo community is only about 5 minutes from Periwinkle Way the main road running through Sanibel Island from the East to the West End. Periwinkle Way is home to a number of island businesses including several popular local restaurants and many of the shops and grocery stores, etc. on the island. The Periwinkle Place Shops is a small shopping center with a fun collection of boutique stores and more. It also offers a great outdoor atmosphere with plenty of green space and pave walking paths that wind through fountain courts, a butterfly garden, and a play structure area. 

Beaches

The beach is just steps from the community and is one of the island's best white sand and shell-filled spots. If you want to travel to other beaches, just a few minutes down Gulf Drive to the eastern tip of the island you will come to the iconic Lighthouse Beach. One of Sanibel's most historic and interesting spots and one of the most recognized public beaches on the island. 

Many people enjoy every water activity imaginable in the waters off Sanibel including kayaking, paddleboarding, boating, fishing, swimming, surfing, kiteboarding, and more. There are several places around the island to charter a boat for any activity from deep sea fishing to a cruise to a long excursion into neighboring lands. 

Fort Meyers and the Mainland

Sanibel Arms is very nicely located near Lindgren Boulevard which takes you straight to the Sanibel Causeway a bridge that connects Sanibel to mainland Florida via Fort Meyers. There are many more great opportunities to enjoy the beach, restaurants, nightlife, shopping, and more at a very short distance from the community. 

Individual Condo Homes

A large portion of homes in the Sanibel Arms are on the canal or the gulf. 2 of the buildings offer direct gulf-front properties and 3 buildings offer canal-front properties. The canal has a private dock for the community. There are also three buildings nestled into the middle overlooking the pool. Condo floorplans offer one and two bedrooms with 1 or 2 bathrooms. The main living areas are open concept with the living room, kitchen with breakfast bar, and dining room all in one free-flowing space. Two-bedroom units offer a screened-in private lanai. There is easy access to the gulf beach via a walkway/bridge from the community. Many of the units have been nicely updated to include granite countertops, newer bathrooms, and a washer/dryer inside the unit.
